Please RSVP to this contact if you intend to attend. jmcalpin@HomeInnovation.com | P: 301.430.6306
If you are planning to attend the scavenger hunt, let us know the following by Monday:
1. Do you plan to bring a guest? So far nobody has RSVP’d with a guest, so we will likely save one of our “open” insurances for later if only members plan to attend this event.
2. RSVP! (If you have RSVP’d, do not stop reading this email- see #3 below). So far we have Mary (coordinator), Shelly, Dianne, Sigi, Amanda, Clara, and Barb as attending.
3. If you are attending with a horse and are not a Maxwell Hall member, we need the make, model, and tag number of your truck and trailer. There will be a $10 fee for non-members. If your horses are carpooling with someone, we just need this information from the person hauling the horses. The $10 fee does not apply to those participating without horses.
Here is all of the original information for reference: The scavenger hunt and hike will be September 21 from 12:00-4:00 at Maxwell Hall Equestrian Park. There will be both mounted and unmounted options, and we will have a potluck afterward. Water and light snacks will be provided. This is a fun ride with no ribbons awarded, but we will have some goodies for the horses. Participants will receive a list of items to photograph during their ride or hike.
Location: 6680 Maxwell Dr., Hughesville MD. Do not just punch “Maxwell Hall” into your maps app. Sometimes this will take you to another nearby location.
Details:
- Mounted riders will be using the Blue trail, 2.8 miles
- Unmounted Red trail 1.8 miles, approximately a 40 to 50 minute leisurely walk
Park Regulations/Safety/Paperwork:
- Read Maxwell Hall’s regulations here: https://www.charlescountymd.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/24/637080839261770000
- All participants (mounted and unmounted) must sign an OPRC release form. Members who have not signed a release form this calendar year must sign a new one. We will have copies of releases at Maxwell Hall the day of.
- Negative Coggins required for all horses.
- Riders must wear a boot with a heel and a helmet.
- Medical information (medical armband, road ID, etc.) must be worn by all riders.
Thanks,
Sarah
